Are you an artist who loves to make postcards, but you don’t feel confident enough to write your own poems? Are you a poet without the skills or means to make a visually compelling postcard? Leave a comment below describing your skills and your needs along with your contact information. (Please spell out “at” and “dot” in your email address to evade the spammer monkey bots).
If you have a website, blog or Flickr site, be sure to leave a link, along with any other details that might be helpful. Then take a look at the other commenters and see if you can’t find someone to collaborate with on poetry postcards.
Oh, and don’t forget that more than one artist and more than one poet can work together as well. The more the merrier!

I’m clumsy with images. I used not to be. I’m less clumsy with words. If a visual artist feels like working with me, I’m up for grabs, heh heh. And I’m at retjoun thingy gmail thingy com, and I blog at poefrika.blogspot.com
A sample of my poetry is at http://basotho.wordpress.com/lesotho-poems-rethabile/
Cheers

Great site and idea.
You might start a kind of low-stakes contest for who can come up with the best poems for some of the images you receive. If I lost such a contest, I don’t think my feelings would be much hurt since the judgment would likely rest not on my poem’s merits but on how it is perceived to connect with the image. As you know, a similar contest, which I have had the distinction of losing, plays out on the last page of each week’s New Yorker. Such a contest could also be a way to address having more writers than artists, if that becomes the case.

This is probably the wrong place to say this (so you can delete this after you read it) but I think this site is a great idea and I’m quite honored you’re using Spotless for it.
Also, thanks for leaving the credit at the footer
Keep it coming!

I am a Kenyan Poet, spoken word artists as well as an art and music reviewer. I love paintings but have no skills in painting. I would however like to experiment with some of my pieces on a postcard, especially on appearing on my blog called “Fading Faces”. Cheers.

I’m a poet who loves to work with images but doesn’t have the skills to do so! I worked for a bit with my sister - she put photos up and I wrote about them. Take a look on: http://taylorsisters.blogspot.com/ Look forward to hearing from one of you artists out there!

Mikey G Ottawa, an artist whose work is showcased on Flickr, has generously offered to share his photographs with those who want to write poems in response to his work. As Mike says, “I made the creative commons license to encourage collaboration with other artists and all of my photos can be downloaded right off of Flickr. Sometimes I might even have a larger, original copy of my Flickr images.”
You can see his work here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikeygottawa/
To contact Mike with questions, for larger file sizes or to thank him for his generosity, email him at mikeygottawa at gmail dot com.
If you work with Mike’s photos, please make sure you credit him and provide a link to the original image on Flickr.
Thank you Mike!

What What’s work, as shared on Flicker (at http://www.flickr.com/photos/whatwhat/) is available for use in collaborative poetry postcard submissions. There is some really gooooood stuff there, so do go have a look-see.
Check the CC license for each piece, of course, and please let What What know if you are using something. Just go to Send FlickrMail on What What’s profile page (http://www.flickr.com/people/whatwhat/). Then make sure you credit What What and provide a link to the original image on Flickr.

Fernando de Sousa has some very cool photographs and drawings on his Flickr page (http://www.flickr.com/photos/fernando/). We’ve contacted him, and he is pleased to share his work with poets for submissions to Postal Poetry. We suggest paying special attention to the models & toys, interiors and stuff sets. Actually, it’s all good. Go take a peek.
To contact Fernando, go to Send FlickrMail on his profile page (http://www.flickr.com/people/fernando/). Make sure you credit him for his work and provide the link to the original image on Flickr.

He says: “Of course — you can use my photos — as you’ve noticed, most of them are under Creative Commons license. I’m looking forward to see new postcards using my pictures.”
To contact Maciej, go to Send FlickrMail on his profile page (http://www.flickr.com/people/macieklew/). Be sure to credit him for his work and provide the link to the original image on Flickr.

Hello Poets and Good Folks, All!
Not much of a poet myself but love can lead one to do many things if artistically inclined. Lately I have been doing Street Photography and displaying my stuff (1000 photos or so) in color and black & white on Flickr, a photo-sharing website. 50, 000+ people around the world have seen at least one of my photos. The photos are organised in sets and span from last week to around 1957. They are downloadable from Flickr to any computer and sometimes a higher-res image can be had by contacting me directly. Check it out. Maybe one of my images could accompany or even inspire some great writing! Let me know. Best Wishes to You and Yours, All!
Peace
.
