London skyline poem

Jean Morris created this postcard with a photo she took in central London, looking north across the Thames between Waterloo and Westminster Bridges. The title, “Scape,” was inspired by Indian anthropologist Arjun Appadurai’s five dimensions of global cultural flow, which he called scapes : ethnoscapes, mediascapes, technoscapes, financescapes and ideoscapes.

This is an amazing work, the beauty of the photo and the way the text plays with our interpretation. Great.
