The words and the image work well together. I like how the lines are written in the sky, allowing for escape over the rooftops. Wonderful, concrete visuals in the poem. Yes, my brain is like this. Great, Nathan!
I really love this. I am so glad the photo’s horizon wasn’t adjusted. The slightly skewed angles work with the poem’s mood. It illustrates how image and word tweak one another.
I love that the picture is of a neighborhood that could be anywhere with homes of almost identical sizes and nearly identical color. I think it goes perfectly with the poem. This monotony and repetition most of us face on a daily basis, yet our minds crave change and color and adventure.
yes, the photograph perfectly compliments the poem. Such a claustrophobic suburban slice and then the offer of travel and escape. I love the contrast of pavement’s a promise, the view, impossible. Wonderful.
fun idea for a site and for disseminating poetry. big ups!
do y’all charge for making actual postcards? that may be a great thing to do to create revenue. i’m certain you’ll find poets to order cards with their own works and other people buying; i’d be the first.

Nice job.

sick of one thing, starved for another…
oh yeah, the fickle brain, the photo is
stunning in its vast isolation.
